Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Personae. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the App, and accounts found to belong to a minor will be terminated.

Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that happens under it. You agree to provide accurate information when signing up, and to keep your password confidential. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

The Nature of AI Companions

Personas in Personae are AI-generated characters powered by large language models. They are not real people, do not have genuine thoughts or feelings, and their responses are generated text, not professional advice.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Personae to:

• Create or share content that is illegal, involves minors in any sexual or romantic context, promotes violence, or is intended to harass or exploit another person.
• Impersonate a real person without their consent, or attempt to make a persona claim to have factual, private knowledge of a real individual's life.
• Attempt to circumvent content moderation, rate limits, or other technical protections in the App.
• Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or bulk-download content from the App.

We use a combination of automated safeguards and human review — including a reporting and blocking system available to all users — to enforce these rules. We may remove content, disable personas, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

User-Generated Content

You may create your own personas within the App. You retain ownership of the personas you create, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process that content as needed to operate the App — including using it as input to third-party AI services to generate responses (see Section 8).

If you make a persona public, other users may discover and interact with it. You're responsible for content you choose to make public, and it remains subject to our content moderation and these Terms.

Subscriptions and Payments

Personae may offer a free tier supported by advertising, as well as optional paid subscriptions billed on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis for additional features or an ad-free experience.

Where subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store: payment will be charged to your account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — we do not have the ability to process refunds directly, as this is handled by Apple or Google according to their own policies.

If you're on the free, ad-supported tier, you may see advertisements from third-party ad networks, which may collect certain data for ad personalization as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The Personae name, logo, and app design are our property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

Third-Party Services

Personae relies on third-party services to function — including AI providers to generate persona responses and images, and infrastructure providers to host the App and send emails. Your messages are processed by these providers to generate responses; see our Privacy Policy for details on what's shared and with whom.

Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App — open the Profile tab and tap Delete account. Deletion is permanent. If you have trouble doing this, contact us at personaeverse.support@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or at our discretion for the safety of the App and its users.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or not to your liking — we don't guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of persona responses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
